Paseo de Gracia is one of the most important avenues in Barcelona. Strolling along this wide road is like visiting an open-air museum where you can contemplate some of the architectural jewels of Catalan Modernism; do a spot of shopping on the boulevard which boasts some of Barcelona’s most luxury boutiques; and enjoy its many terraces, cafés and some of the most cosmopolitan restaurants the city has to offer.
Here is also where the biggest concentration of trendy restaurants in Barcelona is found. For example, El Nacional, Lasarte, Nandu Jubany and Moments de Carme Ruscalleda, to name a few.
Some of the most significant buildings in the area include Casa Lleó i Morera, which is located at number 35, Casa Mulleras at 37, Casa Batlló from the great Antoio Gaudí at number 43, and the esteemed Casa Milà, located at 92 Paseo de Gracia. More commonly referred to as La Pedrera, Casa Milà is one of the most famous Gaudí buildings, and stands out due to its vigorous appearance.
